I quietly launched Contract Flash a week ago. This post explains why — and what we built differently from every other contract management system on the market today.

The problem

Every major contract management platform you've heard of was architected before LLMs existed. Ironclad, LinkSquares, Concord, ContractWorks, Agiloft, DocuSign CLM (whose roots predate 2010 via SpringCM). They've all added AI as a feature layer on top of a fundamentally pre-AI architecture.

Adding AI to an old system is a different exercise than building for the AI era from day one. The data model, the workflow, the pricing model — all designed in a world where contract management was a filing cabinet with a search bar. The seams show.

What it does, in plain English

It's a contract management system that does what it should, without you telling it what to do.

You upload a contract — native PDF, Word doc, or a scan of any quality (good or bad, we handle the OCR). Ten pages or two hundred. Within seconds, Contract Flash has read the whole thing and pulled out everything important: who the parties are, when it starts and ends, what the deal is worth, the key terms (governing law, payment, termination, renewal), and every individual clause. You can see all of it laid out, edit anything that wasn't extracted exactly right, and trust the rest because the system tells you which fields it wasn't 100% sure about.

Then your contract joins a searchable repository alongside everything else you've uploaded. From there you can:

Is it secure?

Short answer: yes. The basics, in plain English:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest. Every connection is HTTPS/TLS. Your contracts and the metadata extracted from them are stored encrypted. Nothing moves or sits in the clear.
• Your contracts don't train AI models. Our AI models both explicitly prohibit training on customer inputs. Your contracts stay your contracts.
• Per-org data isolation. Every database query is scoped to your organization. No shared pool where one customer's data could leak into another's view.
• Virus-scanned on upload. Every file is malware-scanned before it touches storage. Malicious uploads get rejected.
• Role-based access + full audit log. Decide who on your team can upload, edit, delete, send for signature, or just read. Every action is logged with user, timestamp, and IP.
• Modern auth controls. Email verification on signup, disposable-email blocking, IP-based rate limiting against credential stuffing.
• Enterprise SSO — SAML 2.0 / OIDC available for organizations that want SSO-only sign-in via their existing identity provider.

I'm pacing what we ship by what users actually need rather than a roadmap PR cycle. The next 60 days will focus on:

1. Tightening the migration wizard for users coming from another CLM. Bulk-import 1,000+ contracts and have them queryable in under an hour.
2. Expanding the agentic toolset based on real session traces — what people actually try to ask the agent and where it falls short.
3. Integrations with the workflow tools SMBs actually use day-to-day: Outlook, Google Calendar, Zapier.
